There are few experiences more profound and life-altering then the moment an individual learns of their impending death. The announcement, whether told gently in a doctors office or revealed through a gradual understanding of one's failing body, shatters the illusion of permanence that everyday life constructs. Time, once taken for granted and assumed infinite, suddenly becomes a precious commodity, every second illuminated with new and often overwhelming meaning.
It is hard to think about things that need to get done when you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. My plan is to help you prepare no matter how long it takes. I will help with the cascade of emotions, help you through the search for meaning, guide you through sharing the news if not already done. Figuring out what comes next is also crucial, your mind will race from what to do next. I will offer comforting advice and even help you and your family with checklist to help everyone focus. I can say, from actual experience, that I know how difficult this is. I will offer advice that I wish I had when my husband was diagnosed and close to the end.
Please contact me if you would like to set up a free introduction. We can do this over zoom or a phone call.
