I recognize that different losses require different support. I offer specialized programs for terminal illness diagnosis anticipatory grief support for caregivers and many others.
While widowhood is often associated with old age, it can occur at any point in adulthood. Younger widows and widowers, particularly those with children, face unique challenges—balancing grief with parenting, career responsibilities, and, often, the task of explaining loss to children. Older widows and widowers may contend with declining health, fixed incomes, and the loss of long-standing friendships.
It is not easy for anyone to get a terminal illness diagnosis . Not only will I work with the one who was diagnosed and give them advice that my husband wished he had but I will also work with the family.
Anticipatory grief is extremely difficult because you know that you are about to experience a significant loss. I will guide and support from day one, hold space and listen.
Being put into a caregiver position is not easy. I have been there and understand how difficult it is. I will help with questions, keep an eye on your well being and offer gentle advice if prompted.
Losing a child is unimaginable! I understand this kind of loss, I had two miscarriages in my life. I will support you, I will sit with you while you cry, and I commit to help you through this.
Each program is informed by current research and designed with cultural sensitivity.
